Lydford Forest Gardens Appeal
Every year the Trustees plan to keep the community garden in good order by grass cutting, pruning and weeding and making any repairs to the seating, in addition to looking for new ways to improve the garden. We have a number of ongoing expenses in the form of Public Liability Insurance and the maintenance of our website which can only be covered by subscriptions from the Friends of Lydford Forest Gardens.
This year, thanks to the financial generosity of our Friends of Lydford Forest Gardens,
we have been able to:

Commission the replacement of the double gates.

Install new seating

Repair old seating

Install herb planters
-
Create a shaded bank
-
Layer the river facing hedge
Plans for 2026 include:

The creation a bog garden
-
The Installation of flagstones outside the gate area to prevent a muddy entrance

Replacing and installing new double gates
-
A regular calendar of events including socials!
The Trustees are keen to keep enhancing the garden year on year and to that end they are eager to encourage new Friends of Lydford Forest Gardens.
