Report on the Lydford Forest Gardens Work Morning 24th May 2025
We had another very productive morning of work in our Lydford Forest Garden, on Saturday 24th May. Thanks to the hard work of the 11 volunteers who attended we were able to weed and tidy around all the fruit bushes and remove weeds and brambles from the hedges.
The two new benches were installed, constructed by one of our Trustees, using bench ends donated by one of our villagers.
We also installed another herb planter, also donated by two of our Friends of Lydford Forest Gardens.
We are so thankful for the continued support our Friends and villagers give this much loved community garden both through the donations of resources and finances, as well as manual labour.
At our next work morning on Saturday 20th September from 9.30 a.m. we are hoping to get the garden ready for winter and to make a start on our new bog garden, if time premits.
We will be enjoying a ‘bring and share’ picnic after our hard work. Do come along to join in the work morning or just with some food and drink to share at the picnic.
